Tim Raines, Jeff Bagwell and Pudge Rodriguez come on down. All three make history as the 2017 HOF Inductees, joining Atlanta GM John Schuerholz and Commissioner Bud Selig in this year’s class. Raines and Bagwell, having waited 10 and seven years respectively to be called to Cooperstown, were long believed to be just a year away, and Pudge, who is still suspected of taking P.E.Ds, is just the 14th catcher to be elected to the Hall.
Vladdy Guerrero and Trevor Hoffman both came close at over 70%, and Hoffman was 1% shy of Cooperstown induction. Hoffman had nine seasons with more than 40 saves and finished second all time with 601 saves.
